New friends from Maine

There's a small farm that has a farm stand about 15 mins. from where we stay in Maine. The couple that owns it(probably in their late 60s) raises goats and told me so many stories. When their animals are done working for them, they let them live out the rest of their years on the farm out of respect. The goat in the 3rd picture is currently enjoying his retirement. The chicken (last pic) with clear deformity was another topic of discussion. They explained that he was born that way, but they feel that he deserves to be there as much as their working animals. So sweet! Just the way that I feel about my kids at work. It was wonderful to meet them and just as wonderful to eat their fresh goat cheese! They have a few sheep and their daughter is learning to spin the wool to do knitting. While I greatly enjoyed learning from them, I could NEVER live there full time!

Today I ventured to the aquarium. After almost 4 years in Boston, it was my first time. Here are some photos from the visit.

oh, and this yummy goodness. that's a great way to wash down the rice cakes. no cals and no fake stuff. everyone knows how much i LOVE target, however, i am quite disappointed in thier seltzer. they put fake stuff in it. not necessary target!

soooo good!

So yummy and all natural. Check out the label of your rice cakes, many hide yucky not natural chemicals/dyes. No one needs that!
