Well, I have finshed another wonderful experience with lesley university! I am back from our graduate retreat and had a great time. there will be many pictures posted once i get some sleep!
My day yesterday was horrible, one wrong thing after another. After meeting with friends and a stiff drink things got alot better. The weather was beautiful and we were in the courtyard outside. There was live music and plenty of people watching. Kristin, it was a whole year's worth of what not to wear episodes! All and all it was a good time. After we went to a bar in Davis Square and had some food. There was live music there too.....NOT GOOD. It was a girl band where eveyone wanted to be the lead singer. Too bad none of them could match pitch. They were butchering really great songs! It was sad. Then we all got tired and went home. That's all for now.
Ok, I STILL don't have internet at home yet. It is killing me! I a once again at the apple store using their computers. I am working on it and then I will be better in touch! I miss you all but am LOVING being here! It's great. I think they are getting suspicious, i'd better wrap it up.
Today we had lots of people over to celebrate my moving to New England. 1. (l-r) Betsy, Me, and Wendy (yes, they are identical twins) 2. Ed and Me! 3. Me opening "back to school" gifts from Wendy and Betsy (the bag was full of school supplies) 4. Chatting with Joe and Rhoda
1.The ferry of riders coming back after two days of riding close to 200 miles!
2. More riders-close to 4,000 in all!
3. The ferry has a live band on it and is like one giant party and celebration.
4. People that are currently battling cancer were there showing their gratitude for the millions of dollars that the riders raise each year for cancer research.
2. Mimi and Ed by the ocean. We were there for a pre-PMC party. It was for the bikers and family members of the bikers in Ed's group. Believe it or not, it was actually chilly outside!
Here's the deal-or at least what i can get to in the 15 mins before class! (and with a faulty space bar) Classes here and just the environment here is like nothing i have ever experienced. very liberal and "touchy feely" as ed puts it. =) There aren't right or wrong answers, it's not taking notes in a lecture. It's creating a piece of art that shows your understanding or writing a poem, or even doing a movement. There is a dynamic in the class that is open and accepting of anything and anyone. Everytime we finish an activity we stop to take a deep breath and see how we are feeling from it. I don't know if i can even really describe it completely. i guess if you want more details you will have to call me! love and hugs to all
