EATING!

Yesterday Lars and I headed to Whole Foods for an eating field trip. I got him small amounts of a lot of things on the hot bar to see what he might eat. It is just so amazing to watch him eat by mouth. He is still not eating anywhere enough to not have tube feedings, but still. What he loved the most were the sesame sticks. I was so mad that I didn't have my camera! He even drank (from a new sippy that I just got) cranberry juice! It was such an exciting day!
So it seems that one of my super powers (ok, maybe my ONLY superpower) is the ability to avoid sickness. *If you have a weak stomach, I wouldn't read on.* This week at work I was covered in mucus from an uncovered trac of a sick babe, ran a session with a child oozing green snot, and was in the apt of a friend with a wicked viral thing. Once again I am going to PRAISE Emergen-C. I really think the stuff works wonders. I was downing as many packets as I could get in me each day and taking some all natural honey drops by the pound. While I have some stuffiness in my sinus area, I wouldn't say that I am at all sick. Good thing too, I have NO time for that!

Sunday Maya, Jenn (her mom), and I headed to the Baby Expo. It was a crazy time, but we had lots of fun. We even got ot meet Curious George! Maya was much more excited than she looks in the picture. The last three photos were on the T.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I met Ed for a walk around the lake in Wakefield. We saw two beautiful swans. Thank goodness I ALWAYS have a camera with me. They kept bobbing for fish and one of them would balance with his litte legs sticking out. So cute!

jury duty

I didn't get picked. Instead I spend the day sitting in a big room reading and editing my thesis.

Lars LOVES Brookstone. Yep, the store with vibrating chairs and the like. He especially loves the massagers. We actually call it the "massager store". The dude loves a good sensory experience. This is from a recent trip enjoying one of the experiences.

And this will be what I am doing on St. Patrick's Day....

yum yum

My new favorite snack is plantain chips. So yummy and very low in calories. Luckily, I can get a huge container at Whole Foods for only $4!

Lars and bumpy blanket....a true love affair.

Umm..excuse me...

So, I'm sitting in Panera (my usual Friday between therapy and getting Lars). Now I realize that this is a public place and it's not a library...HOWEVER. The last time I checked it was kind of rude to have music playing on your laptop at a volume that people can understand every word. I mean, people are working and trying to enjoy their coffee on this wicked cold New England morning. Isn't it just courteous to wear head phones???????

Please be prepared...I'm goning to whine.
I love living in the city, I really do. However, when I didn't get to bed until almost 3 am after picking someone up at the airport and driving them home (I know, that was my choice)and have to be at work at 8:30, I'm a little sensitive to being woken up. Someone in the apartment building next door is trying to drive a massive SUV up an icy hill. What I hear, and probably everyone else nearby hears, is the wiked loud sound of screeching tires. This has been going on for 1/2 an hour. Please make it stop...

I drive past Charlestown everyday. This is right on the edge of Boston and is where the Bunker Hill monument is. Even though it was pretty cold, I decided to grab my camera and take a walk. It's a really cool place and it had a way of making me feel like I went back in time. Here's what I found.
