Apple Bread
Today I made a loaf of Apple Bread. It's what I'm bringing to my DSM study group. Nothing goes quite as well with psychopathology like apple bread. It's pretty easy to make. If anyone wants the recipe, just let me know in the comment section.

Happy Birthday!
Today I had lunch at the American Girl Store to celebrate Kyizha turning four! It was quite an experience. I had an America Girl doll as a kid, but it is so different now. For one, I am so old that they retired the girl that I had. Also, the store was 2 floors that included the bistro where we ate, a hair salon (for the dolls), and a million things to buy for the dolls. OVERWHELMING. A bit over the top. I have also never seen so many shades of pink in one place. Kyizha had a BLAST. Too cute =)

Thursday
What will Michelle be up to tomorrow?
-visit to 1 of my sets of micro-preemie twins. an OT is coming to consult about possible torticolis and reflux
-visit to another set of slightly preemie twins to have our 2ce/month visit to see what they're up to and provide more ideas for mom
-visit to a tiny baby that had a cocoaine habit in utero and parents with mental illness
-taking another set of micro-preemie twins and their mom to the neuologist at a giant Boston hospital and providing the doc info on their development from my perspective
-back to the office to do tons of paper work.
and even though it's not the best idea...making calls to various families to check in or set up appointments, eating a granola bar, sipping lots of coffee, and raging at other Boston drivers while driving the streets of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston. Let's hope that i don't get spit at in a fit of rage like today (by a toddler). All in an Early Intervention day. =)

So last night they said it would snow today. This time, they were actually right. Nothing much, around 5 inches. It didn't effect schools because it's school vacation week, something they don't do in Ohio. The first picture is of the snow, the 2nd of a big gaggle of power lines. There's something that fascinates me about them.
I have uped my crafting thanks to a gift from my mom. She got me an awesome sewing machine. This onsie is the first official project completed on it. (it's a rooster!) Maybe I'll start taking orders!

Yum and Yay
The first is a new recipe from a cookbook that I got for Christmas. Mushroom stroganoff with brown rice & garlic pitas. So yummy and low in fat and calories. =)
The flowers are from my lovely wife (aka best friend sarah). She is so sweet. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful friend.

No thanks, meat!
There are so many reasons why I LOVE being a vegetarian. It seems that there are more and more great reasons every day. Check out this from CBS News. What's on your plate?
