Help?

Anyone out there intersted in helping with editing for my thesis. I need people that can catch grammer mistakes or even tell me that something just doesn't make sense. Please don't feel that you have to commit to the entire work....it's long. Even if you would be willing to glance at 5 pages, that would ROCK! Let me know!

Have you considered hiring/working with someone from either the university's English department or someone on staff at a local community college or high school? Just as individuals have a distinct style of writing, so do editors. It may be worth it to find one well qualified person to do the entire job thereby maintaining a consistent flow, style and format to your writing.

Well, if I could hire someone that would be awesome. However, there's that whole thing about having to pay people money...

Hiya!

Thought I'd weigh in since I'm in the same boat. I actually have a friend who was an english major in undergrad that I'm "hiring" to do proof reading/editing. I'm going to pay her, but she's doing it at a significantly lower rate. That way I have one person's eyes reviewing it and, as "anonymous said," one person's style. I would definitely check at your school - there may be some starving english grad students looking for a few extra bucks. And, if your thesis is published (other than through the customary school publishing), they can add that to their resume. Win-win situation!

Just my two cents ;o)
