I just electronically sent the last payment on my Discover card. I have had the card for close to 10 years and don't remember the last time that it didn't have a balance in the thousands. These were not fun purchases. They were for books in college and grad school, airline tickets to and from Ohio, dentist bill for getting 2 cavities filled without insurance, etc. But, just now...that all changed! I paid it all off! I am so excited!!!!!

Credit cards are great - now that you have a job, use the credit card to make monthly purchases when you have little cash in the pocket and then pay it off at the end of the month when it comes due. You will be surprised how much you really save when you buy without all that interest tacked on to the cost.
