Off To Maine!

This afternoon it's off to Maine to join Wendy, Betsy, and whoever else is up there. I am very much looking forward to this break!

This is fabulous Lars. I have only worked with him for 3 days and am completely in love.

Sigh...with good news!

The sigh is that all of a sudden my blogger will not upload my pictures> it is also keeping me from changing the text in any way like color of font. Oh well, I am updating it, so that should count for something.

Today I started a new adventure. I am a PCA (personal care assistant) for an adorable 3 year old, Lars. He has many special needs including medical issues. However, he is one of the cutest little boys around. I am learning how to take care of him including tube feeding, the physical demands on lifting and carrying someone almost 40 pounds, realizing that I can't point things out to someone who is blind. I am totally loving it though and couldn't be happier. =)

A little (TRUE) humor!

1) The fact that Route 128 and I-95 are pretty much the same thing doesn't confuse you.

AIDS WALK!

There will be great pictures from the AIDS walk up here this week. I am working 4 days this week and someone is borrowing my laptop, so it make take me a little bit. Please keep checking back!
If anyone watches the ABC show Extreme Makeover Home Addition tonight's show was great! It was for a family with a child with special needs-totally the kids that I work with. The child had cerebral palsy and multiple other health issues. There might be info on in on ABC.com, not sure. It was totally a deserving family and made me feel so lucky to be working with the kids that I have the honor to be with every week.

Big Walk

Tomorrow I am walking in the Boston AIDS walk. I am part of a team of music therapists that are walking and also wearing music therapy shirts-free publicity. It is supposed to rain, which would make the 6.2 miles/10K not so fun. We'll see how it goes. I will post after to let you know that I made it through!
On the apartment front-I now have 2. I have moved a few boxes of things, but that's about it for now. I am excited to have the extra space and GIGANTIC closet!
