this is sad

treehuger.com (a great site that you should visit if you haven't) put out this interesting chart. it shows what people are looking for in voting for a political figure. those things that people are freaking out about don't so much matter if we don't have an earth to live on!!!!!!!! Come on people!!!!!

Congrats Jenn and Matt

So Saturday was the wedding. It went well and I got lots of compliments on my singing. I also caught my 5th consecutive bouquet at the reception. Not sure that it means anything since it has happened this many times.
1. Mother of the bride (my aunt) and me
2. The ring bearer (bride's son Bryce and Flower girl Caitlyn)
3. Jenn and me

Jennifer and I are only a few months apart. When she walked down the aisle I thought of all of the times that we played Barbies together. Wasn't that just a few months ago??? Time flies.

Birthday Boating!

Happy Birthday today to Joa!
This past Sunday was his birthday party and I was honored to be invited as one of his grown-up friends. It was a beautiful day and we went out in kayaks. Here are some pictures of Lisa, Lars and me.

the next Martha Stewart?

...probably not. I saw a picture on the front of a Martha Stewart magazine of something that looked quite delicious. (See photo #1) It is made up of 2 biscuits filled with whipped cream (from scratch kids) and fresh berries. It was quite challenging. What is with the picture of the bottle of wine you might ask? Well, I ended up drinking about a 1/2 of a bottle due to the stress of making this #$%^er.

Davis Farmland

Thursday Joa, Lars, Gannon and I ventured to Davis Farmland. It is a completely kid-friendly, animal petting, pony riding, animal feeding, gigantic playground, water park excitement! We all had so much fun! It was a beautiful day and we saw lots of goats (including some new babies), sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, donkeys, llamas, and alpacas. Lars got to touch most of these animals and feel their tickely fur. He had lots of fun catching the mist filled breezes from the water park and sliding down the slide. However, the most fun by FAR was riding the pony. He laid his face right down on the neck of the pony and laughed hysterically the entire time. Pure enjoyment. Check out the great pictures we got!

Name Me!

This adorable girl belongs to my best friend Kristin. She has yet to come up with a name and wants help. If you have a name idea, leave it in the comment section under this post. Thanks!

Sailing in Gloucester

Tonight Ed and I met Wendy, Betsy, and Jack for a fantastic evening. We went sailing on a beautiful boat for a few hours and watched a beautiful sunset. I haven't cropped any of the pictures or made changes to them, but I was so excited to share them I couldn't wait!

Hot Air Baloons!

Last night Ed and I went to a hot air balloon festival in Hudson, MA. We met Lisa, Joa, and Lars there to enjoy the balloons. There were around 7 or 8 balloons that all lit up once it was dark out. The evening was topped off by yummy fried dough. Pictures of the balloons are curtosy of Joa's photography.

Happy Tax Free Weekend!

This weekend in Massachusetts is tax free holiday on almost everything under $2500. Even though we can just drive to New Hampshire anytime for this bargain, it's sort of a deal here and people tend to make big purchases. Ed would be one of those people today. We got up this morning early (I actually slept most of the night!) and met his cycling club for breakfast. (we drove, they rode) I had YUMMY baked blueberry french toast. And then it was time for the big purchase...The Big Green Egg. Ed has been researching and waiting to have this thing. We got the XL version which is big enough for small children to hide in. This thing does it all. I can't wait for him to make pizza in it, which we are trying tomorrow night. Be patient, we are planning a cook out soon! Check out the pictures!

LOL

Yes, this was actually in the blotter section of the North Reading Transcript newspaper. I couldn't not put it up.

Bologna was found thrown on a Darrell Drive vehicle Thursday at 11:15 p.m.

Quite the dangerous north shore neighborhood.....

New Place!

Here are some pictures from my new place. I still can't get over how much more space I have! And the closet....sigh.....so AMAZING!

Go Ed!

Congrats to Ed for riding his 20th PMC! The weather was pretty hot, but he made it. Here are some pictures of the ferry bringing the riders back from Provincetown. These awesome people raise millions every year to support cancer research. Ed's ride this year was once again in memory of our friend Jessica and my cousin Amber.

Highly recommended

I have been spending the last almost 2 hours hanging out at Panera. Ed got me a gift card that I used to have the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad. See side picture. It is very yummy. For you non-veggies it comes with chicken. It goes for $6.99. Could be cheaper (esp. for those of us that don't get the chicken!) but it is quite large and comes packed with fresh strawberries, blueberries, pinapple, mandarin oranges, and walnuts. 2 thumbs up!

Sleepless Nights....

In case anyone was wondering steroids keep you from sleeping. This has been a wonderful side effect of the prednisone that I am currently taking for the Bell's. Today makes day 14 and tomorrow I get to start tapering it off. One more week and I will be rid of them! It didn't really seem to bother me while camping, but since I have been back I have hardly been sleeping at all. Monday night I was up until 4am. If only this was when I had tons of school work to do or something!
Last night (my 1st night in my new place!) I was up until about 2 or 3 working on a clever new project and reading a book. I wanted to hang more things on the walls, but didn't think that the neighbors would appreciate late night hammering.
I have felt incredibly wired all day and it's getting annoying. I guess this yummy raspberry iced tea won't help much.

Hiking

We took a short hike that led us to great views. Here are some shots from that!
