A Big Splurge

Today I did something that I almost NEVER do. Actually I only remember doing it 2 other times in my life. I even remember what they were for. Today, with my wife, I bought something expensive. And it was even for me! This is rare. The picture above shows what I got. It's a beautiful Coach purse. Granted it was at a serious discount, but still expensive for me. Maybe it's an 8 months @ my job anniversary gift or a reward for the close to 4 miles on the eliptical this morning. =)

Saturday Night!

This Saturday I will be having a fancy dinner out with my wife. Can't wait! We're going to 33 Restaurant & Lounge.
I am going to wear heels and clothing that I won't have to worry about getting baby vomit on! YAY!

Some random pictures from today. The first is of the side of my office and the one after it is just looking in a different direction. Third is the blueberry cheesecake bars I made for my team meeting today. The edges got a little brown, but that didn't keep them from finishing it off. Final is out my car window at a stop light. I liked how it showed the ice.

And I am so sad about the outcome of the special election today. Scott Brown...NO THANKS. Just what we need, someone that wants rape victims to not have the choice of emergency contriception, believes that same-sex marriage shouldn't be allowed, and take down Obama's health care bill. Great. Wonderful.

more cooking

Today included a brutal 40 minutes on the treadmill, a trip to Whole Foods, and some cooking. It has been awhile since I have made the corn and tomato salad (seen below) that I love. I made it a lot over the summer, and had kind of forgotten about it. Thankfully, it's super easy and makes a lot. Plenty for the week. For tomorrow's weekend team meeting at work, I am making Blueberry Cheesecake Squares. Ed and I traveled to Kittery, ME for some outlet shopping. That of course made a trip up the road to Stonewall Kitchen a must. The recipe is from them. The crust is baking now, we'll see how it turns out.

Yummy Goodness

I have made this treat before and decided to share it again last week. It had been awhile, but it got the sames raves that it does everytime. Nothing like something sweet to make the weekly team meeting a little more fun.

1. Weight Watchers Zero Point Soup (well, maybe not FAVORITE, but quite yummy for almost no fat and calories!)
2. Cascadian Farms Sweet & Salty Pretzel Granola Bars. Tastes like a candy bar!
3. Amy's Organic No Chicken Noodle. That's right, amazing "chicken soup" for veggies like me! It has amazing flavor.
4. Sweet Potatoes. Mmmmmmm

Its been snowing quite a bit here in New England. I guess winter will make that happen.
Here are some pictures of the weather, a window that I liked, and downtown Boston. It took me about 3 times as long to get to the downtown house of the family I babysitt for. I decided that babysitting on New Year's eve was well worth the money (it was!), however, the 1st Night Celebration made getting around downtown a bit crazy.
