I hope that if you are voting in the presidential election (WHICH YOU SHOULD) that you are learning all that you need to about the candidates. I am freaked out that someone like Sarah Palin could possibly become the vice president of this country. Where did she come from, 1912?
The following is a good example. And that's who you want helping to run the country? Not me.
She will be honored alongside anti-gay Representative Michelle Bachman (R-MN) at an event at the 2008 Republican Convention, the “Life of the Party,” sponsored in part by long-time opponent of GLBT rights, Phyllis Schlafly.
Just in case people are confused, this country is for everyone. It doesn't matter if you are black, white, purple, gay, lesbian, or anything else. Interesting how if she said that she hated Asians and tried to make laws against their freedom people would freak. Why is acting this way towards gays and lesbians okay?????
Please feel free to leave comments, I am interested in what people have to say.
p.s. oh, and she also makes decisions against the environment and is a member of the NRA...oh my

And this is what is positive about the American system. You can openly support the groups you choose. What would concern me more is,if as a country, we had no choice. You express concern that she appears to be 'anti-" certain groups, yet you express sentiments 'anti-' Palin because of the affiliations she chose. Aren't you guilty of the same thing you acuse Palin of?
Just read your post. Does it really matter what your color or sexual orientation is if the country is left open for terrorism and dependency on foreign nations ? Trust me, the last thing terrorists are going to be concerned with is the issues you bring up....in fact, they may be reason for persecution.
Unfortunatly we are now at the point of political promises with no guarantees as to whether or not they will be kept and/or the manner/ timeline in which these promises will be brought to a realization. Talk, especially in the interest of gaining votes is cheap....action far more costly.
For those of you yearning to learn more about Sarah Palin....she was born in Idaho.....not 1912. With your training as a therapist, I am surprised at your comment about being "freaked out" because someone has beliefs different than your own. As a therapist, isn't the ability to be open-minded and objective at the very core to helping others?

The more disturbing thought is not that she could be vice president but that if McCain were to doe, she would be president.
Oh, and by the way to you pro-Palinites, she cut funding in her state that provided homes to pregnant teens. I guess it's pk to be a pregnant teen in her state if you have somewhere to go but if you don't, too bad, so sad...
